John Williams
Minister of Music
John Williams is the Minister of Music and an Elder at Grace Bible Church. John and his wife, Debbie and their family began attending Grace in 1981 and became members shortly thereafter. In 1984 John began directing Grace’s Adult Choir and in 1985 was hired full-time to lead the church’s music ministry and teach elementary music at Grace Academy and eventually direct the High School Choir.
 
In addition to these responsibilities John is involved in overseeing and managing Publications, Internet Technologies, Audio and Video, Website development and assisting in construction and maintenance projects. He also is a co-leader of the adult fellowship group GraceLife and leads a weekly home Bible study.
 
John grew up in southwest Portland, Oregon and there attended Multnomah School of the Bible (now Multnomah University) where he met Debbie. Throughout his High School and college years he was constantly involved in singing in choirs and leading singing at church and home Bible studies. Following college and their marriage, John and Debbie served for a year with Arctic Missions at Victory Bible Camp in Alaska where he worked on the maintenance crew and helped with leading singing at various retreats.
 
Since taking his position at Grace John has furthered his education in music theory at Edmonds and Shoreline Community Colleges and musical composition at the University of Washington. As well as extensive choral conducting training under Dr. Gary Bonner of The Bonner Institute for the Advancement of Choral Music.
 
John and Debbie have three grown daughters. Amy who lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband Matt and their four children, Beth, who lives in Santa Clarita, California with her husband Nathan and their four children and Lisa, who lives in Newhall, California with her husband John and their three children.
