Wayne has served as a lay leader in three churches. In 1982 he and his wife Donna moved to Beaverton Oregon and started attending Allen Blvd Baptist Church. As active members, each served in various rolls in Sunday school, community outreach and men’s and women’s ministries. Wayne started teaching adult Sunday school in 1986 and began serving as a leader a couple of years later. All three of their children Kent, Jennifer and Eric were born as they served at Allen Blvd. Wayne became an elder in 1991 and served until 1999 when his work relocated him to Boise Idaho.

 

In Boise they attended Lake Hazel Bible Church from 1999 until 2004 when work relocated them to Lake Stevens Washington. During those 5 years Wayne and Donna were active in various ministries and Wayne served in leadership and also served on the elder board.

 

The relocation to Lake Stevens provided a connection to Grace Bible Church. Wayne had become acquainted with Ward Brien and John Zimmer from Arnold Ruby the pastor of Lake Hazel. The three of them had served on staff at Grace Community Church previously. Wayne, Donna and Kent are all active members of Grace Bible. Donna currently serves as a Deaconess and Wayne serves as the chairman of the elder board; Wayne also teaches a Fundamentals of the Faith class.
